nostalgia

I love cereal. It is such an easy snack when you are craving something sweet. Tonight, I got more than just a fulfillment of my sweet tooth. I got a trip down memory lane to Grandma's house in Oregon. Which made me think of all the other little things that make me think of Grandma. I thought I'd share.

1. Quaker Oats Corn Bran Cereal
This was always in the cupboard at grandma's house. I would eat it out of the white cereal bowls every morning.

2. Blackberries
Grandma's fields are lined with TONS of blackberry vines. We always go pick buckets of blackberries and bring them back to make yummy cobbler.

3. Glass Floats
There is one hanging in my Grandma's beach house. I think it is so beautiful! I collect them now, but mine aren't real like hers. One day self, one day.

4. Wrigley's Spearamint Gum
I remember always asking Grandma for gum during church. This was the kind she liked. She would tear off half a piece and give it to me.
5. Hot Chocolate
Drinking Hot chocolate out of an E.T. Mug to be more specific. I remember arguing with my siblings about who got to use the ET mug that day. The handle was ET. How cool is that!!

There are lots of things that make me think of my Grandma. I love her so much! She is the sweetest, most loving, caring person I know. I can't wait to see her in just another week or so.
