thanksgiving part 1: oregon

Our Thanksgiving was a fun one this year. The kids & I went up to Oregon to have Thanksgiving with my family. It was a fun trip. We had our Thanksgiving dinner Wednesday instead of Thursday since so many of us were leaving Friday morning. It was fun to have that extra day of relaxing.

tut tut, it looks like rain...

S and I were shopping with my sisters, mom and grandma the other day. I told her she could pick one thing to get as a treat that day. She chose a rainbow umbrella. She was so excited for it she could hardly wait to get out of the store so she could open it up. The rest of our shopping day she was under that umbrella and practically has been ever since.

Too bad it hasn't rained yet. She would love to actually put it to real use.

We also spent a couple days at the beach, which included a trip to a glass blowing studio and a tour of the Tillamook Cheese Factory. It was a lot of fun and the ice cream was so yummy!

Spring in Oregon is beautiful...

my apologies...

i've been told that i've been slacking in my blogging as of late. so i apologize. but i have a very good reason....in fact i have 8 very good reasons. and they come in the form of very active, rambunctious children. i am up in oregon helping my sister & mom watch my nieces and nephews while my oldest sister went off to italy with her hubby. we have been having such a fun time, but it can be exhasting!

road trip!

This weekend my mom, S and I are hitting the road. We are venturing out on the long 16 hour drive to OR. I've been downloading music & filling up my iPod with all kinds of fun, toe-tapping music, as well as the quite when S needs to sleep. We are going to be ready!

My favorite new song : Michael Buble's "I just haven't met you yet" It's such a fun song and of course his voice is just amazing! :)


Now we just need to stock up on the other neccesities.... peanut m&ms, crackers & cheese, fruit, and.... oh yeah. water.

family reunion.

We had a great family reunion this year! We had yummy dessert, nail painting [the most popular clients were the guys] , shooting, crazy rides in the unamog [is that how you spell that??], a bounce house & of course great conversation and time spent with family! I love going to Oregon and spending time with family! I look forward to it every year!

ok, so funny story. see that dress? its a "farmer dress". scarlette woke up and saw cash wearing overalls. she came over to me and said... "i wanna be a farmer too!!!" so we went to goodwill and found her a farmer dress!! she loves it!
