We spent new years eve in Newport Beach with my family. We didn't have noise makers and we didn't even make a toast at midnight. S fell asleep at 11:30. 
In fact I had to text a kiss to my hubby since he had gone off to play COD with my brother in law. We might have been a little lame but we made up for it by spending new years day on the beach and going to Ruby's Shake Shack right at sunset before it closed and drank yummy shakes while watching the sun go down. It was a beautiful start to the year!

I agree-that was a beautiful day. Abby is still talking about Orangey, her first sea animal friend that she misses SO much. Marah and Ethan are still talking about surfing, I'm still thinking about my milkshake. I'm glad we all got to spend New Years together!
