I made my mom's famous cookie recipe the other day, but instead of the usual only chocolate chips, I added peanut butter chips as well. They turned out soo yummy!!! I know some people [jonathan] will say that I ruined them, but I promise they were good.

student of the month!

I am so proud of Scarlette for getting student of the month her very first month of kindergarten!! 

She is doing so well in school and just loves her teacher!! I go in to help out once a week and I'm really enjoying it!

After a bath a told Mason I needed a diaper. He went to his room and got one and brought it back to me!

This guy had a check up yesterday. 

at 13.5 months:

weight: 19 lbs 3 oz (10th %)

height: 29.5 in (10th %)

head 18.5 in

teeth: 

4 on top with one stubborn molar hanging out halfway down his gums

2 on bottom with 2 more just poking through

we had a homemade pizza night. we all got a pizza crust and got to put our own toppings on it.
it was a lot of fun. Scarlette loved it!

This little boy is definitely just that.. a BOY! He is so adventurous. He climbs on EVERYTHING!

Dear Scarlette,
You are five years old. I can't believe how time has flown! I can still remember holding you in my arms, all wrapped up, fresh & new.


You have grown so much in the past five years. You are tall and beautiful. Your hair is long and as yellow as the sunshine. Your eyes are green like your daddy's with just a ring of blue like mine around the edge. Your pink cheeks are the color of roses and I love giving you big hugs and kissing them. You are a wonderful big sister to Mason, and even though sometimes I have to remind you to be gentle with him, I know how much you love him and he loves you.


You are still my little artist and have told many that they are free to call you as such. I have an ever growing collection of your latest masterpieces that I treasure! You are so creative in your art as well! There is always a story behind each drawing or painting. I am constantly cleaning up all kinds of scraps of paper from your latest piece of art that you cut out of paper.


You also have such an imagination when it comes to your playtime. Your ponies, fiaries, and now lalaloopsy dolls come along on many adventure with us and are often part of such elaborate stories I am amazed at how you remember all the details. You are so smart and remember everything, sometimes better than me! You love to "cook" for us and will have a diner all set up for us to eat at while we watch cooking shows with daddy, your favorite!



I love you so much sweet girl! I hope you continue to stretch your imagination and talents and grow up to be as wonderful as I know you will be. I love you! I will miss my four year old, but I'm excited for what this next year will bring us! Enjoy being five! Love you for always! xoxo

Mason's 5 month stats:

-he started eating cereal.

4 months!

mason is 4 months old!
-at his last check up a couple weeks ago he was 11lbs 5 oz & 23 inches long. he is in the 10th percentile. he's a little guy
-he is a pro at rolling back to front and front to back now
-he is starting to get up on his hands and knees for a second at a time
-he pushes himself up with his feet and lunges forward
-he is super wiggly
-he loves his baths! he kicks so much more water is out than in the tub.
-he is the smiliest baby and loves to laugh and be tickled
