I made Scarlette a skirt & matching hair clip the other day, so I decided to have a little photo shoot with her. She loves to pose; it cracks me up how she is the perfect little model for me.
i finally did it! i made the apron out of my amy butler book. :) i kept putting it off because i thought it was gonna be complex patterns. but it was so easy! it only took me about 30 min to measure and cut all the different pieces. then the sewing did not take long at all. i love my new apron. thanks to my brother & sister in law for the awesome book! i can't wait to make more stuff!the pocket & the towel loop.
So I know that Valentine's Day is still about a month away. I've had a few projects in mind for things to make with S, but I've been waiting till a little bit closer to make them so that the fun doesn't wear off before Feb 14th. But when I saw THIS I went straight up to my sewing machine and made some. They are so adorable & so easy!!! My favorite combo! :)
I meant to post about this before, but I got sidetracked with the holidays. I made this twirling skirt for S recently. It is by far my favorite thing I have made her! The fabric is so adorable! I made a matching one for her cousin and her friend for their birthdays. :) I don't think I'm going to put it up on etsy but if anyone is interested... let me know. :)
I got THIS fabulous book for Christmas this year. I cannot wait to make something! I'm thinking the apron should be my first project. I would love to make one of the quilts too! I'm just so excited, I can't wait to get started!
Why can't I ever find adorable fabric at Joanns? Because then I could make dresses like this! I mean, I find cute fabric... but never like this. And I know I could buy it online somewhere, but then I have to pay shipping... and thats lame.
I decided to make Scarlette an apron. I have TONS of fabric that I buy thinking what cute projects I can make with it, but I never do. So today I did something about it. I made this...
I even got crafty and made ruffles in the skirt. :) I'm very proud of it.
Then after making the apron, I was so proud of myself and so in the crafting mood I made yummy, gooey, apple dumplings!! :) YUMmm.
