John & I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary this month! We had a nice night out, by ourselves! Happy Anniversary hunny!!! ♥

John loves to cook. And he is a fantastic cook.

I even overlook all the dishes he uses and I have to wash because he is so good.
He loves to try new recipes and add his own ideas.
For Father's Day we got him THIS stuffed hamburger press.
(if you're interested make sure you do what they say in the reviews and wrap it in saran wrap so it doesn't stick...)
John decided to use it today and this is what we got...

Feta cheese & zucchini hamburger stuffed with Havarti cheese.

John's birthday was a few weeks ago. He is now a quarter of a century old!! Our car insurance is gonna go down. & He can rent cars at a decent price! Sweet!! I'm lame and I haven't posted any pics yet. [sorry love]

Because it was his birthday we went to sushi....are you surprised? You shouldn't be. This boy LOVES him some sushi.



because the people at his sushi place love him so much they gave him birthday sushi...

Then we went to see Inception. That movie was incredible!! I want to see it again. I have made some theories, but I need to confirm them when I re-watch it. It needs to hurry up and get out on DVD.

Then we had birthday dinner and cheesecake [his favorite!] the day after his birthday.

Since John's accident he hasn't been to work, so I have been working full time while he stays home with Scarlette. Honestly, I don't know how I did this before! It's exhausting! AND I was 9 months pregnant with Scarlette. I was crazy. But I digress. 

John has been an excellent stay at home dad. He has been making Scarlette a big breakfast every morning, and he is even mending clothes & cleaning. Thats right. John has been sewing!

John's sewing adventures:

*Sewed a button on his shorts. Twice. He did it in the wrong spot the first time. 

*Fixed a ripped seam in another pair of shorts. 

And to think he told me i shouldn't get a sewing machine. 

Sorry John...

but this is the only kind of bike you get now...

bad friday.

You might have heard, but John got in an accident on his bike yesterday morning. He was VERY lucky and wasn't hurt too bad. If you remember what his bike looked like BEFORE you can see its pretty beat up now.





Just looking at his helmet you realize how much he could have gotten hurt if he weren't wearing it...



so now that we're done with the bike scene, i am selling my helmet & jacket on eBay.

we had a birthday dinner the other day with his dad and kim and my family. actually it was a birthday dinner for john and kim cuz her birthday is sunday. we went to sushi and guess what!

Tonight we are going to john's aunts for dinner and then on sunday we are having a BBQ with his mom. So he is getting lots of birthday celebration!

2 years and counting...

It has been 2 years since John & I got married! I can't believe how time flies when you're having fun.

avocado fever...

My mom has 4 avocado trees that are very well producing. Around this time of year we have an abundance. This makes John & Scarlette very, very happy. They are avocado freaks. Scarlette will eat a whole one by herself. John likes to eat one as a snack when he gets home from work. And they love to eat them together.

We set Scarlette on the bike & she immediatly grabbed the handles & moving them back & forth. She grabbed the brakes & was pulling them, she was a natural. John was so proud.

For John's bday i got him a really nice knife set and some cookbooks. A few of these cookbooks were sushi books. John LOVES sushi. And he decided he wanted to learn to make his own. These are his very first rolls and we thought they turned out pretty good... ok i thought they looked good as in appearance. I don't eat sushi, so i didn't try them, but John said they were delish! They are shitaki mushroom sushi rolls. What's next chef?
