my shower!

My wonderful sister & sister in law threw me an awesome shower for baby boy! It was amazing!! I loved everything! They are so wonderful and I love them so much for doing that for me! The food was so good! We had salads, sandwiches, fruit, veggies... tons of food!! We had two kinds of cake, delish lavender honey nut cupcakes & baklava for dessert. It was awesome! We all had cute mason jar cups to drink out of. ♥ Everything was perfect!! Thank you Erin & Mary. ♥ you!!

It is the result of making a pregnant woman fast for 12 hours and then go through 3 hours of glucose testing....

we had our ultrasound and we found out we are having a baby boy!! I'm so excited! :) S was a little sad at first that she wasn't getting her sister, but that quickly passed and now she is so excited for her baby brother!

the best christmas present ever

so we had quite a surprise last thursday night. my mom and erin and i went to a christmas dinner at church and i had everyone coming up to me asking how i was doing and giving me advice on being a mom. when i told them that i was dialated to a 4 they were very surprised and even asked if i should be up and walking around. i assured them i was fine. but if anything happened there were lots of experienced moms there to help me. so the dinner ended and we were leaving and as i got in the car i felt my water break. i was quote shocked! i called john and he left work and met me at my moms house and after a little while we left for the hospital. we got there around 10:30 and by 6:10am friday morning Scarlette Jane Leiterman was born weighing in at 6 pounds 10 ounces and 19.5 inches long. she is the most beautiful baby i have ever seen! she has lots of blonde hair thats really long and she has big beautiful eyes.


sadly though she developed jaundice and has had to stay in the hospital for a few days. were hoping she will be home by friday or saturday. she is on the improving side of it. her levels are coming down and they are lessening her treatment. so i am very realived. it has been really hard leaving her there and watching her be pricked and poked. i just want her home with me. and soon she will be! im counting down the hours.

Baby Watch

Well now that Thanksgiving and Erin's wedding are over were all focusing on Christmas and new babies. As of yesterday I went to the doctor and I am 4 cm dialated. Last week I was 80% effaced. She didn't say what I was yesterday. So really, any day I could be making a trip to the hospital. I'm just hoping it happens when I'm at work or moms, because then it's not a 30-45 min drive. And I don't have to worry about getting stuck in traffic. That's my biggest worry. It really wouldn't be fun to be stuck in a car having a baby. But now it's a race between Kat and I to see who can have the baby first. John is telling me everyday to tell the baby to hurry up. He's very excited to see her. Oh and I think the name has once again changed. We decided we really like Scarlett Jane. Though the spelling on "Scarlett" is being discussed. John things it should be spelled "Scarlette". I say "Scarlett". So we will see how it goes. Anyways, we will keep everyone up to date on "baby watch" and will hopefully have some pictures soon! :)

beach bums....

the other day John and I drove down to La Jolla (by San Diego). it was really fun. we met his dad down there and played in the tide pools and saw a triathalon. it was a really pretty day. going down there really made me wanna go SCUBA diving. hopefully John will get certified & we can go. it would be so much fun! La Jolla had alot of places that looked cool to dive at. I had never been there before. in fact I hadn't been to San Diego since I was like 3 weeks old and everyone went to the zoo or seaworld or something. and I think that's when Jonathan almost got lost. what fun!
