she is my "little artist"

our family in paper dolls.

scarlette's explainations:
-mommy has no hands because she is holding mason.
-scarlette's hands are up so that she is ready to hold mason.
-the house has a roof sticking out so that there is shade.

at first she messed up while cutting out john and threw him away. we told her that she did a great job drawing him and just messed up cutting him out so she should try again. she didn't want to. i told her she could even just tape him up and he would be fine. she still didn't want to. i told her we needed a daddy and she said...

"we can just say he is on a trip or something."

i laughed over that one. and then finally convinced her that we needed a daddy.
i didn't want to be a single paper mom.

tut tut, it looks like rain...

S and I were shopping with my sisters, mom and grandma the other day. I told her she could pick one thing to get as a treat that day. She chose a rainbow umbrella. She was so excited for it she could hardly wait to get out of the store so she could open it up. The rest of our shopping day she was under that umbrella and practically has been ever since.

Too bad it hasn't rained yet. She would love to actually put it to real use.

my artist

I set up S's art easel that she received for Christmas. She started painting immediately.

Last week we got ourselves a little ballerina. I think she's going to be sticking around!

a bunch of balloons...

Scarlette collected all the balloons from Erin's baby shower last night. She had lots of fun at the shower and even more fun popping all the balloons today. She thought that was so fun! Erin's shower was very nice! She got such cute gifts! Some of the stuff she got was from THIS cute site. [it's a lady she knows from church] We can't wait to meet her little guy! Less than a month now!

little drummer.

We have discovered that Scarlette has extremely good rhythm. She plays her "drums" perfectly in time with saying her ABC's or singing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star". She is a natural musician. I may just have to get her a drum set! [or not]

the babies are sleeping.

Scarlette loves to put her babies to bed. She also has discovered that her wipes are the perfect dolly blanket size. This is only part of her sleeping baby collection. Her entire bedroom floor was covered in her babies sleeping in their little wet wipe beds. One of her dolls must have been a little cold, it needed an extra "undies blanket" to keep warm. Those barbies can't stay warm with so little body fat.

tea for two.

When I was in Oregon I went to a little antique shop in Silverton and found a china toy tea set for a total steal of $5. I was so excited! So yesterday Scarlette & I had a tea party, complete with cream cheese & cucumber sandwiches! We had soo much fun! I want to invite some of her friends over for another tea party really soon. It will be so much fun!

Scarlette wanted to wear her tutu yesterday and dance around, so I grabbed the camera and had fun too. :) she's such a cutie!

park day.

Yesterday Jenna, Kirra & Kalli came over for a play day. The weather was beautiful again so we walked up to the park to let the girls play. They had so much fun! They loved the swings. The whole time they were yeling "weeeeeeee" it was really cute. Then they found the fountain and loved the water, until they got all wet and wanted to get changed! :)

Today we decided to go play outside for a little while. I thought it would be fun to take some pics too. Here is Scarlette's new dress!

lunch date.

Scarlette had a lunch date with her friend Kirra today. They have so much fun together now. It's so cute to watch them play.

just a little late...

Scarlette finally decided she wanted to wear her birthday tutu. It was supposed to be what she wore on her birthday, but we did just a shirt instead.

buckets o' fun

Scarlette loves this bucket. She is always going into the bathroom and putting things in it and then taking them out, putting them in and taking them out. Today she brought it out into the family room and John showed her how to get inside, then helped her fly around the room. She had so much fun! Then she didn't want to get out. She sat in there for the next hour, getting in and out. She fell out a couple times but went right back in. When I was trying to get her attention to take pictures, I was snapping my fingers and she started doing it too. Since she couldn't make the snapping noise with her fingers, she made it with her tongue!. She is so funny!
